Settlement Test
Because ERKA piles are generally instantly subjected to the working load, the settlement test is sufficient for verifying the outer load-bearing capacity. In this case the pile is subjected to a timed constant load by a press jack.
Simultaneously, the ground settlement behaviour is time-dependant protocolled. Conclusions as to the visco-elastic material behaviour can be drawn from the results which can then be taken into account when manufacturing the piles.
Ground behaviour – Settlement
A settlement test is also called for where the ground behaviour is not predeterminable, i.e. the time-dependant settlement behaviour is decisive. Several settlement tests are carried out depending on the number of piles and the size of the building project.
